Blanche E. Fortna, 84, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at home. Born in the Bronx, NY, on Sept. 16, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Carl Weihs and Anna (Gocal) Snavely.

Blanche was a 1959 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of St. Mary’s Church. She was a barmaid at the former Sho-Bar, Gentlemen’s Bar, Hook and Ladder Club, and Central Democratic Club. She loved playing the lottery and going to Atlantic City and Hollywood Casino to play the slots. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching the Phillies and Eagles play, going to the market, out to eat, church bazaars, and trips to Rehoboth Beach.

Blanche is survived by her children, Carl Fortna, husband of Michelle, John Fortna Jr., David Fortna, husband of Audrey, Michelle Fortna, and fiance, Dennis Runkle, and Mike Folmer; grandchildren, Amanda Carpenter, wife of A.J., Brett Fortna, Natasha Shaw, and Kate Fortna; great-grandchildren, Owen, Kierra, Jaelynn, Amiah, Anastazija, Mya, Kyrin, and Julian; brother, Carl Weihs; and her very good friends, Lorraine Finnegan, Susan Drupp, and Aileen Fortna. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Fortna.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Blanche’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
