Carla Sue Major, 61, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of William Major, with whom she celebrated 38 years in marriage.

Carla was born in Akron, OH, to Mae K. (Ketterman) Huffman of Morgantown, WV, and the late John Wayne Huffman.

She was an administrative secretary for WellSpan Hospice. She was a member of Living Waters Chapel, where she was active in different ministries, including the women’s ministry, grief counseling, Victory’s Journey, and mediation. She enjoyed scrapbooking, hiking, traveling to different parts of the country, fishing, teasing those she loved dearly, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband and her mother, are her children, William J. Major of West Virginia, Clarence W. Major and wife Terri of Lebanon, Joshua A. Major and wife Amanda of Lebanon, a daughter-in-law, Jacklyn Shughart of Lebanon, grandchildren, Riley, Haley, Ava, Lily, and Jace, and her siblings, Marshall Huffman and wife Cindy, David Huffman, and Kathy Kurtz all of Morgantown, WV.

She was preceded in death by her son, Devon A. Major, and a brother Keith Huffman.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 11 AM at Living Waters Chapel, 1900 Jay Street, Lebanon. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be a viewing from 10 AM until 11 AM at the church.
