Carlos M. Ortiz Correa, 70, of Lebanon, passed away at home on Friday June 5, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sonia I. (Quesada). They’ve spent the last 39 years together and were happily married for 32 of them.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on August 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Amalio Ortiz and Paula (Melendez) Correa.

Carlos moved to Lebanon from Puerto Rico when he was only 15 years old. He laid down roots and proudly raised his family here. Carlos worked hard everyday to make Lebanon “home” for his wife and children. After 26 years of service, he retired from the former Butler manufacturing in Annville where he worked as a painter, traveling nationwide as a consultant for the company and earning the highest respect in his field. He was outgoing, opinionated, and loved to share a joke. Carlos was a handyman by nature and could fix just about anything. He loved baseball – playing it, watching it, and supporting it any way he knew how. Mostly, though, Carlos loved the family that he and Sonia raised. Family gatherings, cookouts, and family sing alongs were what brought him the most joy.

In addition to his wife, Carlos is survived by five children – Betsy Santaigo and her husband, Edwin, Lisa Rivera and her husband, Miguel, Sonia J. Pagan and her husband, Kevin, Karla M. Herman and her husband, Joshua, and Ricardo Rodriguez and his wife, Leslie; three brothers – Angel, Angel “Wiso”, and Pablo; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers – Eddie and Julio.

Funeral services will be held privately. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements. Please share your memories with the family at our on line guestbook at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
