Carol B. Yost, 92, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at Heartland Hospice, Mohnton. She was the wife of the late Robert B. Yost Sr.
Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Anna M. (Gruno) Buchholtz.
She and her husband owned and operated the Yost Fir Farm at their Bethel residence. She was an avid seamstress and retired as a Fashion Coordinator from Dutchmaid Fashions in Ephrata. She was an active member of the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, where she held many positions over the years.
She is survived by her children, Claudia Bender, of Lake Worth, FL, Kevin, husband of Sandy Bender, of State College, Jeffrey Bender, of Orwigsburg, Timothy Bender, of Mohnton, Douglas Bender, of Doylestown, and Robert B., husband of Gail Yost Jr., of Bethel; sister, Nancy, wife of Harry White, of Pottstown; sisters-in-law, Maryann Buchholtz and Barbara Buchholtz; brother-in-law, Van McConnon; grandchildren, Tammy, Joshua, Jared, and Greta; and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Elliana, Lucy, and Castor.
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard B. Yost; brothers, Michael and Karl Buchholtz; and sisters, Wilma McConnon, Alberta Krause, and Anne Peck.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, Rte. 343 and Shirksville Road, Fredericksburg.
