Caroline E. Stover, 92, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late George B. Stover.
Born in Lebanon on February 7, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Allen P. and Carrie Klingler Wagner.
She was a graduate of the Fredericksburg High School Class of 1949. Caroline had worked for the former First National Bank of Fredericksburg. When she retired, she was the branch manager at the Sunset Branch. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg, where she sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed traveling and dancing.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen M. Toomey, and her companion, Michael Klinger, of Lebanon; granddaughter, Cara E., and her wife, Valerie Toomey, of Newark, DE; and nephews, Dr. David (Richelle) Deysher, of Lebanon, and Mark (Mary Diane) Deysher, of Colorado Springs, CO, and their children.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, William C. Toomey; and her brother, Ray D. Wagner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.
