Carolyn L. (Kreiser) Blantz, 90, of Annville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at The Lebanon Valley Home. She was the wife of the late Wayne E. Blantz, who passed away on Oct. 23, 1999.
Carolyn was born in Cleona, PA, on Feb. 19, 1933, to the late Edgar E. and Ruth M. (Brandt) Kreiser.
She was a 1951 Lebanon High School graduate and a sewing machine operator at the former KXCF Corp. in Annville. In her younger years, she was affectionately known as “Tuby” to her family and friends. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Palmyra, where she attended faithfully when she was able. She was very active with the Senior Center and Meals on Wheels in Palmyra before moving to The Lebanon Valley Home. Carolyn enjoyed all types of sports, especially watching and cheering for the Phillies. She was known to have a kind, caring spirit and was friendly and helpful to everyone. While at The Lebanon Valley Home, she was involved with their various activities and attended resident council meetings.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Michael G. Blantz, and his partner, Cindy Painter, of Annville, Cindy L. Blantz, of York, Randy L. Blantz, and his wife, Pamela, of Annville, and Crystal L. LaFrance, and her husband, Paul, of Annville; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Monday evening, Jan. 29, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
Carolyn loved flowers, which are welcome, but if you choose, a contribution can be made to a charity of your choice in her name.
