Carolyn M. “Kurlin” Ghee, a cherished mother, dedicated friend, and esteemed member of the community, peacefully passed away on Jan. 16, 2024, at her residence in Lebanon, PA.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY, to loving parents James E. Ghee and Lelia Ghee (Warren).
Carolyn was a radiant soul who touched the hearts of all who knew her. With a warm smile that could light up any room, she had an unwavering ability to bring joy and comfort to those around her.
Carolyn pursued her education with remarkable diligence and obtained an associate’s degree, a testament to her unwavering commitment to personal growth. She then embarked on a successful career as a mortgage associate in the mortgage banking industry, where she was employed by JP Morgan Chase. Carolyn’s dedication and professionalism earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
While Carolyn was building her career, she always made a point to prioritize her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Ceneca-Tara Moreno, and their bond was unbreakable. Carolyn also is survived by two grandchildren; three sisters; five brothers; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and -nephews; companion, Bruce; and two fur babies.
In her leisure time, Carolyn found solace in the kitchen. She had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals, particularly her signature collard greens and mesquite chicken. Sharing her culinary creations with family and friends brought Carolyn immeasurable joy, and her legacy is carried on through the recipes she lovingly shared.
Carolyn’s departure leaves a void in the lives of those who cherished her. However, her memory will forever be preserved in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness, compassion, and zest for life. She will be remembered as a woman of incredible strength, grace, and unwavering love.
