Cathy Gibson, 60, of Jonestown, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Hershey Medical Center, with her son by her side.

Born in Elkhart, Indiana, on November 16, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Marlin B. and Cathy M. (Sudbury) Kreider.

She and her mother were members of the Ono United Methodist Church. Cathy enjoyed the little things in life. She enjoyed competitive gardening against her son, planting and hanging beautiful flowers outside her homes. She also enjoyed riding her scooter on days with nice weather and going to yard sales and shopping with Alissa Shimanski. Cathy always looked forward to buying mums with Alissa each and every year. But most of all, Cathy enjoyed laughing, talking and spending time with Shawn, her best friend and son. He was the light of her life.

She is survived by her son Shawn Kreider of Jonestown, brother Marlin “Butch ” Kreider Jr., and his wife Nancy of Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Melvin and Randy Kreider.
