Charles A. “Chuck” Comins Sr., 81, of Lebanon, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at The Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Charles was born in Philadelphia on April 12, 1942, to the late George L. and Helen V. (Treible) Comins.
He served with The US Army as a medic during the Vietnam Era and Cuban Missile Crisis. Chuck was a master printer with Lebanon Valley Offset until the company closed. He then worked at Graffica in Wyomissing. He was a member of Lifeway Church in Lebanon. Chuck was a member of AA and The VFW. He loved fishing, eating at Golden Corral, and talking with everybody he met. His life mission was to help others, as he was always there when someone needed him.
Surviving is his children, Debra Bowman (Michael), of Lebanon, Leonida Shope (Mark), of Mt. Gretna, Charles A. Comins Jr. (Beth), of Sebring, FL, Robin Unger (Jim), of North Little Rock, AR, and Landin M. Comins (Travis Sherwood), of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, George “Barry” Comins, Kenneth Comins, and Charlotte Kugler.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military honors. There will be a celebration of life held immediately after the graveside at Lifeway Church, 2230 Lebanon Valley Mall, Lebanon, beginning at 12:30 PM.
