Charles D. Lahr Sr., 67, passed away peacefully during the early hours of the morning on July 8, 2025, in Lebanon, PA.

Charles Lahr was born on Aug. 5, 1957, in Lebanon, to Kenneth Sr. and Ruth Lahr. After he graduated from high school, Charles enjoyed a long career in maintenance, working for as long as he had the strength to do so. By Charles’s side throughout his years-long battle with leukemia was his faithful fiancĂ©e, Sue Reppert, who predeceased him in 2022. Charles fathered two sons in his lifetime, Charles Jr. and Daryl Lahr.

Charles had a heart for the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping. He was passionate about his motorcycles, owning two Suzukis. An ardent road-tripper, he especially enjoyed visiting friends and Dollywood in Tennessee, as well as his companion Sue’s old home and her children in Chicago. Above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Charles also served his country with the Army National Guard.

Charles is survived by his sons, Daryl (Jackie) Lahr and Charles (Dannielle) Lahr Jr.; grandchildren, Xavier Lahr, Kaydance Lahr, Wyatt Lahr, Miranda Lahr, Matthew (Sidney) Leedy, and Corrine Lahr; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Kenneth Lahr Jr., Michael Lahr, and Lori Gross.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in Charles’s name to Stand Up To Cancer (standuptocancer.org/).
