Charles D. Miller, 93, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his home. He was the husband of Arlene E. Umberger Miller. On June 27th, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Born in Cleona on July 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Alfred and Florence Roth Miller.
Charles was a graduate of the Milton Hershey High School Class of 1947. He then served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the HIA water treatment plant, where he had been a meter reader. He enjoyed collecting stamps, loved to play cards, and was a Penn State, Orioles, Eagles, and Phillies fan. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Assoc.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Timothy H., husband of Pamela Miller of Millersburg; daughters Patricia A., wife of Jeffrey Kramer of Jonestown, Tracey L., wife of Gary Knaub of Hummelstown and Holly J. Fenicle of Ocala, FL; brother Clyde, husband of Barbara Miller of Lebanon; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence E. Roth Miller, sons Donald L. Miller and Michael C. Miller, and his grandson Jason Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Ebenezer.
