Charles E. “Gene” Steffy, 66, of Newmanstown, died Thursday, April 1, 2021, due to natural causes and on the same day as his wife.

He was the husband of Teresa I. “Terri” (Zappavigna) Steffy, to whom he was married 39 years on November 7, 2020.

Born in Lancaster on Sept. 16, 1954, he was the son of Patricia (Moore) Steffy, of Newmanstown, and the late Charles G. Steffy.

Gene was a 1972 graduate of ELCO High School. He enjoyed horses and riding his motorcycle.

Gene is survived by a daughter, Julie, wife of Jay Alice, of New Lenox, IL, grandchildren, Zachary, Zoie, Zander, sisters, Pamela Allen, of Lebanon, Kay, wife of Ray Marks, of Myerstown, brother, James, husband of Carol Steffy, of Fredericksburg, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and his beloved bird, Dusty.

Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
