Charles E. Kindt, Sr., 94, Lebanon, passed away on Thursday February 8, 2024 in Cedar Haven Healthcare Center. He was the loving husband of Rosalie Winter Kindt, age 92, of Lebanon.
Charles was born in Lebanon on September 26, 1929 a son of the late Paul and Esther Gettle Kindt. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School class of 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had been employed by Bannon Mills and then Everite Knitting Mills, as shipping manager, for many years. Charlie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Penn State Football fan. He spent many hours involved in Genealogy, Big Band Music, Electronics, Wood Working, and Photography. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children: Charles E. Kindt, Jr. and wife Elizabeth, Palmyra, PA; Cheryl A. wife of Joseph Arnold, Henrico, VA; grandchildren: Nicole Arnold, Angela Arnold, Zachary Kindt and wife Sheena, Katelyn, wife of Jonathan Talmadge; great-grandchildren: Karah Sprouse, Amelia Kindt, Clara Kindt, Collins Talmadge.
He was preceded in death by brother: Marlin Kindt and sisters; Betty Zerbe, Lois Schwartz and Sandra Klick. Memorial services will be Thursday February 22, 2024 at 10:00am in the Rohland Funeral Home 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon preceded by a time of visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be in the National Cemetery at Ft. Indiantown Gap.
