Charles E. Knerr, 82, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Virginia A. (Mowrer) Knerr. On Jan. 11, they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
Born in Pine Grove on Aug. 29, 1942, Charles was the son of the late Grant H. Knerr and Edna E. (Breidigan) Murray. He was the owner and operator of Knerr Tree Service in Fredericksburg.
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his sons, John (Lori), Charles Jr. (Carol), Larry (Lisa), and Evan (Amber); daughter, Kristene (Mark); sister, Carol Luch; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his sisters, Thelma Adams and Jean Eisenhauer.
There will be no services.
