Charles L. Kauffman, 76, of Pine Grove and formerly of Bethel, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 15, 2022, in his residence. He was the husband of Eileen Farrell Kauffman, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Born on December 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Herbert Bare and Anna Kauffman Strunk.

Charlie received his GED in 1965 and was employed at Post Precision Casting in Strausstown for 33 years. He served as a supervisor in the finishing and shipping departments and retired in January 2011. In his free time, Charlie enjoyed watching the Phillies, and in 2010, he had the privilege of going to Philadelphia to see a playoff game with his son Matthew being in the Honor Guard before the game. Charlie loved cars. Buying, racing, and washing them was a favorite pastime.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Matthew; and grandchildren Austen, Alexis, Spencer, Caleb, and David Kauffman.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Kauffman, brother Ralph Bare, and sisters Ruth Getz, Marie Wilson, Sallie Leask, and Susan Rittle.

A memorial will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. Visitation is to be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Little Swatara Church Cemetery.
