Charles W. “Charlie” McCrone, 83, of Newmanstown, PA, died on Friday, June 12, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Hein) McCrone, who died on Feb. 22, 2026.

Born in Abington Township, Montgomery County, PA, on Sept. 13, 1942, he was a son of the late A. Ralph and Myrtle C. (Clemens) McCrone.

Charlie was a graduate of North Penn High School. He was the owner and operator of a dairy farm all his life. Charlie also worked at Art’s Garage in Stricklerstown. He was a member of the RC Club with radio-controlled airplanes, and he was also a member of the Lebanon Antique Tractor Club. After retirement, for decades, Charlie continued with his love of fixing things and helping people. He and Ruth spent a couple of weeks every year for 20 years in the mission field at Victory Bible Camp in Sutton, AK.

Charlie was truly one of a kind. There was only one Charlie McCrone.

Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Richard McCrone.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Steelstown Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cocalico Prop Busters, Lebanon Valley Tractor Club, or Golden Age Air Museum.
