Charlotte A. Janowitz, 59, of Bernville, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of James F. Janowitz. They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary this past July 6.

Born on March 30, 1964, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Helen Celeste (Fox) Cross Jr.

She graduated from Owings Mills High School in MD with the Class of 1982. She worked for Berks County as an Establishment Hearing Officer Administrative Assistant. She attended the St. John’s Reformed Church in Friedensburg. Charlotte enjoyed quilting, Christmas, her dogs, traveling, going to the beach, listening to the Word of God, baking cookies, going to baseball games with Jim, and swimming in the pool. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Daniel V., husband of Krisann Janowitz, of Philadelphia; daughter, Jessica, wife of Randall Zimmerman, of Bernville; grandsons, Max, Levi, Oliver, and Elliot; brother, Michael, husband of Patty Cross, of Aberdeen, MD; and sisters, Denise Smith, of Carroll County, MD, and Trish, wife of Daryl Ramsey, of Baltimore, MD.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at the Solomon and Co. Event Barn, 30 Little Swatara Church Road, Richland, PA 17087. There will be a visitation from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at the barn and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Reformed Church Cemetery in Friedensburg.
