Cheryl Lynn “Cheri” Pannebaker, 59, of Lebanon, PA, finished her earthly race and entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 22, 2022. She had spent the past five years dealing with cancer and was at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at the time of her death. She was the wife of Kevin J. Pannebaker.

Cheri was born in Newfane, NY, on October 2, 1963, to June (Evans) Palmer of Spring Mills, PA, and the late Pastor John “Jack” Palmer.

Her greatest desire growing up was fulfilled as a wife, mother, and full-time homemaker. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Lebanon. Cheri’s greatest love in life was family – her husband, children, and beloved grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her children – Krista Shaffer and her husband Adam of Lebanon, PA, Kyle Pannebaker and his wife Kelly of Hershey, PA, and Michael Pannebaker and his wife Brittany of Odessa, FL. Her beloved grandchildren include Colten, Alex, Cameron, Reverie, Lowyn, and Ledger. Her brothers are Tom Palmer and his wife Patty of Spring Mills, PA, Scott Palmer and his wife Bethany of Searcy, AR, and Brad Palmer and his wife Sarah of Russellville, AR.

Cheri loved to write and was a frequent poster on Facebook. She wrote openly and honestly about the good times and bad, the easy times and hard times, and the ups and downs of life while seeking to encourage others in the faith with scripture verses, poems, personal insights, and inspirational quotes. Many of her hundreds of “followers” will miss getting to look for her next post.

Eventually, her writing led to the publication of a book last year entitled, “Pink Cupcakes & Rainbows.” It was a collection of short stories from special events that occurred during the first three years of her “fight against the monster we call cancer.” She loved to personally sign each copy and encourage the recipient to keep looking for God’s grace and goodness. Despite all she had been through, she continually made it known until the end that “No Matter What…God is Still Good!”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 2 PM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be held privately in Heckman Liberty Cemetery in Spring Mills, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Boys and Girls Christian Home of India Christmas Fund. Donations can be mailed to BGCHM, PO Box 612, Russellville, AR 72811, or made securely online at www.bgchm.org.
