Christine H. “Chris” Shaak, 92, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at home. She was the wife of the late Russell H. Shaak, to whom she was married for 57 years.
Born in South Lebanon on Feb. 19, 1929, Chris was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Arnold) Reich. She graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1947 and attended Lebanon Business College. She worked for 35 years at New Penn Motor Express as an executive secretary.
Chris was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church and a charter member of the American Business Women. She loved sewing American Girl doll clothing for her granddaughter, needle pointing Christmas stockings, and doing puzzles.
Chris is survived by two daughters, Deborah, wife of the late Kenneth Klahr, and Judith, wife of Richard Wengert, Jr., five grandchildren, Sherry, wife of Keith McIntyre, Amanda, wife of Alex Matos, Amy, Anna, wife of Dylan Kapp, and Alisha fiancée of Rocco Ferrandino, four great-grandsons, Steve, Domani, Lincoln, and Elias, four great-granddaughters, Calianne, Cheyanne, Alaenah, and Essie, a sister Josephine, wife of the late George Heagy, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20th at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 120 E. Lehman St., Lebanon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
