Christine M. “Chrys” Yiengst, 45, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 17, 1980, she was the daughter of Thomas Gettle, of Lebanon, and Cheryl Yantz, of Annville. Chrys was working as a manager at NAPA, and, prior to that, she worked at Auto Zone. She was active at the American Legion Post 915 in Lickdale, and she especially enjoyed reading and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Asia M., wife of Arnol Tapia, of Abilene, TX; son, Jarrod O. Yiengst, of Jonestown; foster parents, Roy and Carolyn Zimmerman, of Myerstown; sisters, Tara Turner, of Palmyra, Stacy Zimmerman, of Lebanon, Jessica (Grant) Meyer, of Berne, IN, and Andrea (Adam) Gordner, of Myerstown; brothers, Michael (Kelly) Zimmerman, of Lebanon, and Darin (Donna) Zimmerman, of Myerstown; and grandchildren, Abram and Aiylah. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Morgan A. Yiengst.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Myerstown Mennonite Church Cemetery.
