Clair E. Bubb, 95, of Lake Placid, NY, went to be with Jesus on Monday, June 3, 2024, at his son’s home in Jonestown. He was the husband of Virginia F. (Faxon) Bubb. They were inseparable for the past 73 years and would have celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12, 2024.

Born in York on Monday, Nov. 19, 1928, he was the son of the late John Henry and Ada Mary Mae Houser Fengfish Bubb.

With only an 8th-grade education, he went on to attend Eastern Pilgrim College in Allentown, where he received a Christian Workers Course diploma. It was here that he met the love of his life, his sweet Ginny. They married, and he worked hard all his life for his wife and their six children. His love for God came first, and then his family. He was a machinist all his life and also worked in construction while they lived in Florida.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Sharon L., wife of John Marshall, of Lake Placid, NY, David C., husband of Merrilee (Chess) Bubb, of Camden, NY, Stephen J., husband of Debra (Ginter) Bubb, of Middleburg, Judith F., wife of Philip Miller, of Winfield, Jonathan H., husband of Sandra (Hugo) Bubb, of Delanson, NY, and Daniel S., husband of Vicki (Hatch) Bubb, of Jonestown; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lebanon God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
