Clarence W. Rittel, 89, of Myerstown, PA, died on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, at Myerstown Nursing and Rehab. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Ressler) Rittel, who died on June 7, 2016.

Born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, PA, on Nov. 9, 1936, he was a son of the late Wayne and Viola (Houtz) Rittel. Clarence was a shipping supervisor at Quaker Alloy for many years, then at P.J. Hydraulics, and then at Fox’s Hardware. He was an avid horseman.

Clarence is survived by his son, Rickey, husband of Debra Rittel, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Michelle Blatt, and Michael, husband of Jen Rittel; great-grandchildren, Hannah Bender and Paige Blatt; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and Carl Rittel; and sister, Pauline Grumbine.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Zion “Goshert’s” UCC Cemetery, Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
