Clarence William Hitz, Sr., 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at the MS Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Judith A. Hitz, who passed away in 2008.

Clarence was born in Lebanon on July 25, 1940, to the late Ammon K. and Leah C. (Sattazahn) Hitz.

He was a self-employed carpenter. He liked to tinker around in his woodshop making wood cutouts and toys.

Surviving is his children, Wanda, wife of Robert Livering, of Lebanon, and Peggy, wife of Arlen Zechman, of Annville; sons, Clarence W. “Bill” Hitz, Jr., and wife, Mary, of Campbelltown, and Steven Hitz, and wife, Anita, of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Ruth Thomas and Lillie Buffenmeyer; and brothers, Robert and Warren Hitz.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
