Claude Milton Brown Jr., 88, of Annville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Virginia J. (Imboden) Brown, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Claude was born in Lebanon on April 24, 1936, to the late Claude M. Brown Sr. and Sylvia (Koppenhaver) Brown.

He was a 1954 Annville-Cleona High School graduate. Claude worked as an inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was a U.S. Army National Guard and a U.S. Navy veteran. Claude was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cleona and the Hummelstown VFW. He was a former manager of the Cleona Softball Team (church team). In his younger days, Claude enjoyed fishing with his sons and then golfing. He was a member of the Orioles Bowling League in Lebanon. Claude’s greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sons, Timothy W. Brown (Stephanie), of Lebanon, and James M. Brown, of Annville; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Bisher; grandson; and great-granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with military honors. There will be a viewing from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
