Craig R. Gangaware, 75, of Jonestown, PA, passed away on Dec. 31, 2024.

Born on March 8, 1949, in Lebanon, to the late Selden and Joan Gangaware (Kohr), Craig lived a life dedicated to public service as a firefighter for 26 years in Lebanon County.

Known for his unwavering commitment to his community, Craig was a beloved figure who demonstrated courage and dedication throughout his career. In addition to his work as a firefighter, Craig had a deep love for the outdoors, where he found joy and solace. His adventurous spirit and passion for nature deeply influenced his relationships with family and friends. Craig proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting on June 21, 1967, and achieving the rank of E6 before his discharge on July 11, 1977. His service to his country exemplified his commitment to a life of service and duty.

Craig is survived by his son, Adam Gangaware, and brother, Lee Gangaware, who will carry forward his memory and legacy.

Family and friends are invited to honor Craig’s life and service during the following ceremonies. A public viewing will take place at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., on Jan. 24, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Following the funeral, Craig will be laid to rest at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with a graveside service scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
