Curtis B. “Curt” Evans, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023.
Born on May 22, 1958, in Kingston, PA, Curt was the son of the late John “Jack” and Doris (White) Evans.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Marti Evans; their children, Brian Evans (Amanda), Lauren E. Groff (Chris), and Shannon E. Fretz (Ryan); his grandchildren, Clay, Nolan, Reed, Trevor, Dylan, Parker, Katelyn, Olive, and Alison. Curt is also survived by his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Ritts (Kerry); brother, Chad Evans (Stacey); sister-in-law, Sally Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Allen Evans.
Curt dedicated his professional life to the senior living industry, where he served as vice president of operations. His passion for his career was evident in the positive impact he made on the lives of those he served. Curt’s leadership and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and residents alike.
Curt was an active member of the community and served as the past president of the Lititz Lions Club.
He found joy in the company of his grandchildren, attending many of their events, from basketball games to school plays. Curt enjoyed participating in trivia nights with his friends. An avid traveler, he enjoyed exploring new destinations, particularly out west, where he found solace in the beauty of nature. His love for the outdoors manifested in his passion for bird watching, hiking, and biking, which were activities that brought him a sense of adventure and fulfillment.
A celebration of life in honor of Curt will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment is private. A visitation will precede the service from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
