Cyril W. “Butch” Werth III, 77, of Lebanon, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 28, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Carole (Becker) Werth, his faithful caregiver and wife of 51 years.
Born in Lebanon on October 6, 1942, he is the son of Cyril W. Werth, Jr. and the late Christine (Blantz) Werth.
Cyril was retired from the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife, and gardening. He was an avid fly fisherman, building his own rods and tying his own flies. He loved his cat, Abbie and playing “words with friends”. He was a member of The Masonic Lodge 226, The Susquehannock Fly Fishers, Inc. and Tulpehocken Rod & Gun Club. He was a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy, having served aboard the air craft carrier, U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father, are 2 children – Tammy J., wife of Stephen R. Smith, and Charles F. Werth; a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Heisey; a great grandson, Phillip L.C. Peck; and his stepmother, Mary L. Werth. He was preceded in death by two brothers – James & Patrick Werth.
Funeral services will be held privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
