Dale Lewis Dishong, 63, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the loving husband of Melissa (Kerlin) Dishong.

Born in Lebanon on April 17, 1957, he was the son of Jean Carpenter Dishong of Cornwall, and the late Forrest Dishong.

Dale graduated from Cedar Crest High School and went on to work for Hershey Park in ride maintenance, retiring after 40 years of service. Currently, he worked as a school van driver for D.B. Fisher Bus Company. Dale was a member of St. Mark’s UCC, Lebanon where he enjoyed singing in the various choirs. He volunteered with various local fire and ambulance companies. He was an avid race car fan, and enjoyed cheering on Penn State and the Minnesota Vikings.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, is a daughter Amanda Templin, wife of Mark; grandchildren Aubrey and Liam Templin; step-children Joshua, Zachary, Zander, and Gaby; and sister Kay Boyer, wife of Craig.

A private service will be held for the family on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Following the service, we ask Dale’s many friends, family, and acquaintances to drop in at the Blue Bird Inn deck from 10 a.m. to 12 noon for a social memorial gathering. In the midst of COVID, please bring your mask!
