David A. Smith, 74, of Jonestown, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda L. (Lutz) Smith of Jonestown. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on June 18th.

Born in Lebanon, on June 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Sterling G. and Mary C. Smith.

David graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1967. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, woodworking, volunteering with the honor guard, was a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, avid animal lover, and most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Michelle Daubert of Lebanon; son, Jason, husband of Ashley Smith of Jonestown; grandsons, Vaughn, Ethan, Wyatt, Dylyn, and Kohen, and his Boston Terrier Gator.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sterling G. Smith, Jr., and a sister Shirley Glant.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. from the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home in Jonestown. A viewing will be from 12:30 to 1:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
