David A. Umbenhauer, 61, of Myerstown, died Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born in Lebanon, PA on April 4, 1960, he was a son of Patricia “Pat” (Zidik) Ziegler, of Fredericksburg, the late Leroy D. Umbenhauer, and stepson of Sonia K. (Bugg) Umbenhauer, of Myerstown.

David was employed at KW Trucking in Bethel. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to yard sales, playing guitar, and singing.

David is survived by a daughter, Melody Umbenhauer; son, Anthony Umbenhauer; grandchildren, Zaylia, Zander, and Jasper; sisters, Ann, wife of Chris Allwein, Sherri, wife of Fred Howdyshell, Stacey Jovalusky; brothers, Dale, husband of Jolene Umbenhauer, Tom, husband of Vicki Umbenhauer; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
