David C. Ermold, 79, loving husband, father, and grandfather, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at the WellSpan York Hospital. He was the husband of Jacqueline M. (Burch) Ermold, to whom he was married 52 wonderful years.

Born in Lebanon, PA on Nov. 22, 1942, Dave was the son of the late George and Anna (Weising) Ermold.

He was a United States Navy veteran and was very proud of his military service. He worked for the Lebanon Valley Offset and retired from the Lebanon VA Medical Center. In his youth, he loved hunting and fishing, and in later years, enjoyed sitting on his patio, watching the birds and deer. He was a huge Penn State football and Philadelphia Phillies fan.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his two children, Dana Lacasse, wife of Norman, Jr., and Dianne Ermold-Baker; three grandchildren, Justice, Mariana, and Linkin; a brother, Lessig Ermold, husband of Irene; a sister, Carol Uhrin, wife of Richard; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Freda Ratajczak.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by a service at 7:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon. Masks are required for those who are attending. Interment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
