David Charles Myers, 58, of Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of Annville, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at South Strand Medical Center, SC. He is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Cindy Myers.
Born in Coaldale, PA, on Jan. 18, 1968, he was the son of Charles and Jo Ann Myers. David was a beloved father, grandfather, coach, and friend, known affectionately as “Pop” to his family.
While living in Pennsylvania, David coached Annville Youth League football, basketball, baseball, and high school basketball at Annville-Cleona for over 30 years. David enjoyed the beach. He and his wife, Cindy, moved to Surfside Beach six years ago. He was a member of Surfside United Methodist Church. In South Carolina, he coached football and basketball for St. James Middle School.
A lifelong sports fan, David was especially passionate about Notre Dame football and the Boston Celtics. He was known for his great sense of humor and his playful spirit, always ready with a harmless prank. His happiness was genuine, making everyone love him. Above all, David will be remembered for his selfless nature and the love that he had for his family.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his sons, Nathan Myers, husband of Carissa, Noah Myers, significant other of Ellie Hardman, and Nicholas Bunch, husband of Bethany; siblings, Charles Myers Jr., Marc Myers, husband of Robin, Michael Myers, husband of Michelle, Marcee Addington, wife of Eric, Amy Vowell, and Jo Ann Brown, wife of Doug; and grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Calum Myers, Lium Myers, Tatum Myers, Cody Bunch, Nora Bunch, and Carson Bunch.
A public visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Miller Chapel on the campus of Lebanon Valley College, E. Sheridan Ave., Annville, PA 17003. A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, in his memory. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is handling arrangements.
