David H. Haldeman, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Shirley A. Sholley Haldeman. On November 23rd, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Born in Jackson Twp. on May 30, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Eva Gundrum Haldeman.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended the Lebanon Valley Bible Church. For many years he was the co-owner and operator of Lebanon Valley Builders and built many homes during that time. He retired from Indiantown Gap, where he was a carpenter. He was a master woodworker and homebuilder. He loved his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kathy A., wife of Randall Peters, of Palmyra, and Randy D., and his wife, Cassie Haldeman, of Hummelstown; brother, John Haldeman, of Myerstown; grandchildren, Ryan, and his wife, Melissa Patrick, Nathan Patrick, and Jacob, and his wife, Jillian Huweart Haldeman; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden and Olivia Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jacob, Paul, and Robert Haldeman, and sisters, Helen Hetrick and Ida Umbenhen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
