David J. Wimmer, 83, of Cornwall, died on Tuesday, Feb.16, 2021, at Cornwall Manor.
He was born on Thursday, Jan. 6, 1938, to the late George P. Wimmer and Lillie Wimmer nee Kasper in Hammond, IN. He worked as a Line Supervisor at Budd and was a veteran of the Marine Corps. David was an avid golfer, enjoyed Notre Dame Football and playing poker with his buddies at Cornwall Manor.
Surviving are daughter, Cynthia A. (Steve) Kane, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen M. (O’Boyle) Wimmer, and siblings, Edna Miles, Georgia Ilif, Doloris Kraf, Marian Macsimic, George Wimmer, Charles Wimmer, and Lawrence Wimmer.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
