David M. Barry, 65, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Raymond J. Barry Jr. and Joyce A. (Whitman) Barry.

For many years, David attended the Lebanon County Workshop and Quest. He enjoyed listening to music and singing gospel songs, and he frequently called into WLBR and requested dedications and listened to the Country Church music program on Sunday mornings. He attended St. Stephen’s Christian Fellowship Church in Lebanon. While David lived in a group home, he loved spending time in his workshop tinkering with his tools and drilling holes into pieces of wood. He spent countless hours as he was growing up with his friend and neighbor, Vic Cascarino, watching him repair small engines and whatever projects he was working on. Along with other visits with his neighbor, Dale Eichman, David enjoyed helping with gardening and using his rototiller. Some other hobbies David enjoyed were riding his bike around the neighborhood, visiting neighbors, and watching them do projects around their homes. Wherever there was a lawnmower, David was certain to be there to watch.

He is survived by two brothers, Bruce Barry, and wife, June, and Jeffrey Barry, and wife, Heather, all of Lebanon; two nephews, Scott Barry and Bruce Barry Jr., and wife, Michelle; and one niece, Julie Class.

David was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond J. Barry III.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at 11 a.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen’s Christian Fellowship Church, 1100 Hunters Chase Ln., Lebanon, PA 17046, in his memory.

David’s family would like to thank Supportive Concepts for Families for the excellent personal care David received and the friendships David developed with his staff during the years he was living there.
