David R. “Dave” Bragg, 86, of Annville, passed away at his home on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024. He was the loving husband of Karen C. (Hopkinson) Bragg, with whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage.
Dave was born in Meriden, CT, to the late Russell and Jean Fox Bragg.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he ran track. He was a civil engineer and land surveyor by trade. As a professional engineer, he worked on development projects across New England, where he was able to spend much of his working life outdoors.
In the early 2000s, Dave and Karen were proprietors of the Flying Cloud Bed & Breakfast located within a 1790s sea captain’s home in Midcoast Maine. He was actively involved in the Rotary Club of Newcastle, ME, and Palmyra, PA.
Dave spent much of his life in Connecticut, where he was deeply involved with Little League Baseball, from coaching to administration. He was often seen in the Guilford Parade in his baseball hat and signature green pants. Dave enjoyed watching any and all levels of sports, especially his beloved University of Connecticut Huskies and the NY Yankees. After retiring to be close to family in Annville, he worked as an usher for the Harrisburg Senators and within Lebanon Valley College Athletics.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his children, Kathleen Bragg, Geoffrey Bragg, Rebecca Davis, and Kimberly Coleman; and his grandchildren, Micah, Clara, and Weston.
Services will be private.
