David S. Erb, 59, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at UPMC-Lititz after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Joanne G. (Martin) Erb.

Born in Reading on Oct. 23, 1965, he was the son of the late David A. Erb and
the late Mary Ellen (Fox) (Erb) Stauffer and the stepson of Samuel Stauffer, of Myerstown.

For almost 30 years, David was a faithful delivery man for Zimmerman Chair Shop in Lebanon. He was devoted to his family, and he especially loved his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as being a friend to everyone. He was a member of the Little Mountain Mennonite Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, David (Shari) Erb, of Newmanstown, and Virgil Erb, of Emory, TX; four daughters, Luanne (Hans) Burkholder, of Newport, Rhonda (Chris) Martin, of Buncombe, IL, and Sylvia Erb and Anita Erb, both of Lebanon; brothers, Michael (Mary Jane) Stauffer, of Tower City, Jeremy (Judith) Stauffer, of Sunbury, and Joshua (Elaine) Stauffer, of Fredericksburg; sisters, Linda (Marvin) Martin, of Lebanon, Christina (Jason) Brubaker, of Bethel, Jewel (Steven) Dyck, of Brashear, TX, and Michelle (Kendall) Martin, of Cedarville, NJ; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kaylene (Wadel) Erb.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. and from 5-8 p.m. at the Fairview Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, at the Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Road, Myerstown. Interment will follow at the Little Mountain Mennonite Church Cemetery.
