Delmar E. Wise Sr., 77, passed away on Oct. 10, 2025, in Lebanon, PA. He was born on Oct. 3, 1948, in Lebanon, PA, to Harold Sr. and Hilda Wise.
After Delmar Sr. graduated from high school, he went on to serve as security for Butler Manufacturing in Annville, PA. Prior to that career, Delmar was a proud Bethlehem steelworker until the closure of the iconic company in the early 2000s. Delmar was previously married to Marcie Ross, and they had two children together: Delmar Wise Jr. and Shannon Mallin. Delmar participated in artistic pursuits throughout his life, painting everything from houses to murals. He was noted for his perfectionism in that area. Delmar also enjoyed making miniature replicas of architecture, and his model of the Lebanon County Courthouse was, at times, honored in area news articles. Later in life, he tried his hand at audiovisual presentations with the Golden Phoenix recording studio. Last but certainly not least, Delmar brought joy to many Lebanon children by visiting with them or riding in carriages downtown as Santa Claus.
Delmar is survived by his children, Delmar Wise Jr. (Amy Rodriguez) and Shannon Mallin (Leon Duncan); grandchildren, Sabrina Young-Wise, Billy Blair III, Tommy Blair, and Sammy Blair; great-granddaughter, Sabrina McCotty; nieces and nephew, Doreen Wise, Sherri (Michael) Steffy, and Steven Wise; and friend of the family, Karen Wolfe. Delmar is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Wise and Curtis Wise.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations can be made in Delmar’s name to one of the following suggested charities: American Heart Association, Dementia Society of America, American Diabetes Association, or the World Wildlife Fund.
