Denny D. Hitz, 72, of Robesonia, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Lebanon on May 31, 1953, Dennis was a son of the late Frances Wolfe and Russel Hitz.

Denny was a hard worker. The kind of man who took pride in every calloused hand and every project finished right. A 1971 graduate of Cedar Crest High School, Denny went on to run his own business, Hitz Construction, for more than 20 years, where he poured his heart into every job and quickly earned the trust of those he worked for.

Denny enjoyed hunting and riding his Harley, feeling most at peace in the outdoors. He had a great appreciation for watching things grow — whether it was the vegetables in his newly built garden or the fruit trees he recently planted, Denny was proud of everything he created.

Denny is survived by his children, Dennis R. Hitz and Amanda M. Hitz; half sister, Gale Longenecker, and her husband, James; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Russel M. Hitz and Ronald L. Kupp; and his faithful four-legged friend, Rocko.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona, 1920 S. 5th Ave., Lebanon. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m., and interment will follow at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona Cemetery.
