Dennis “Denny” Duane Stewart, 78, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, while under hospice care at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marie L. (Witmer) Stewart, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage.

Dennis was born in Waynesburg, PA, on Sept. 25, 1945, to the late Paul and Ruth (Rogers) Stewart.

He grew up in Oak Forest and graduated from West Greene High School in 1963. He was a U.S. Army veteran (1965-67), having served in the Vietnam War, where he earned the Vietnam Service Medal. In the 1980s, Dennis was a member of the Navy Golf League at Hains Point in Washington, D.C. until around 2002 when he began golfing with a league at Andrew’s Air Force Base in Maryland until 2014. In addition to golfing, he enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, Carolina shag dancing, collecting Nascar memorabilia, bicycling, and walking with his wife at parks. He liked nature, traveling, and photography.
