It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis E. Schafebook, a beloved member of our community, who left us on June 17, 2026, at the age of 78.

Dennis was born on Aug. 25, 1947, to the late Ammon and Martha (Galebach) Schafebook in Lebanon, where he spent his entire life. Dennis was a dedicated manager proudly working for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. He was known for his zest for life and his love for sharing memorable moments with friends. He cherished the time spent dining with his loved ones at local favorites, including the Hotel Hershey, Blue Bird, and Quentin Haus. An avid enthusiast of the great outdoors, Dennis found joy in visiting national parks and exploring the historical richness of our country. He had a special fondness for the humor of Rodney Dangerfield, often sharing laughs recounting the comedian’s iconic quips.

Dennis is survived by his nephew, Scott Schafebook; sister-in-law, Barbara Schafebook; and dear friends, Dr. Jeffrey Yocum and Jodi Mongrain.
