Dennis J. Copenhaver, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Gloria J. (Masemore) Copenhaver.

Born in Schaefferstown on June 5, 1945, he was the son of the late Howard and Florence (Root) Copenhaver. Dennis served in the Army National Guard. He worked as a truck driver. He was a dedicated fire police for 50 years. He served as the captain and chief for North Lebanon Township. He was also a fire police for Mount Zion and South Lebanon Township. Dennis attended the God’s Missionary Church, Lebanon. He enjoyed watching TV and sitting outside in the summer, and he loved helping people, especially his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tammy A., wife of Brent Goulet, of Manheim; son; step-son, William L. Zipp, of AZ; step-daughter, Jennifer L. Fidler, of AZ; a friend who was like a daughter, Maria, wife of Jolexi Pagan, of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter; brothers, Franklin, Owen, and Perry Copenhaver; and sisters, June Wolfe, Caroline Hartranft, Fern Smith, and Verna Maine.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Lebanon Township Fire Department, 701 E. Walnut St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
