Dennis Richard Lehman, 74, beloved husband of Bonnie Marie Lehman, of Manning, SC, and Troy, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at his residence in Manning, SC, with his loving family by his side.
Born on Nov. 28, 1951, in Hershey, PA, he was one of seven children of the late Earl Richard Lehman and Edith Mae (Wenger) Lehman. He was raised on a dairy farm just north of Palmyra in Lebanon County, PA. Dennis and his wife, the former Bonnie Yohn, were high school sweethearts and both graduated in 1969 from Palmyra High School. This past January, they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Dennis carried a strong work ethic throughout his life, owning and operating a successful dairy farm in Bradford County, PA, for over 30 years. In 2010, he and Bonnie relocated to Little River, SC, where he worked with A.O. Hardee & Son Construction Company. In recent years, he made his home in Wyboo Plantation in Manning, SC, enjoying a well-earned retirement often spent on the golf course with family and friends.
Dennis found joy in life’s simple pleasures—time at his second home in Pennsylvania, attending farm sales, watching sports, deer hunting, hiking the land he loved, golfing, cooking, shopping, taking his dog, Stanley, on golf cart rides, and hosting gatherings filled with food and laughter. He had a gift for making others smile and will be remembered for his quick wit, warm spirit, and easygoing nature.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; daughter, Marcy, and son-in-law, Daniel Cutchall, of Manning, SC; son, Gregory, and daughter-in-law, Heather Lehman, of Morehead, KY; and daughter, Dixie, and son-in-law, Willis Lutz, of Troy, PA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Lehman, in 1993. He is also survived by several grandchildren, as well as his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Dennis will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of life is planned on May 9 in Troy, PA, to honor his memory and the fun-loving guy he was.
In lieu of flowers, Dennis and the family ask that you do an act of kindness for someone in need in his memory.
