Dereck Persaud, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at home. He was the husband of Enid C. (Simon) Persaud.

Born in Guyana on Nov. 13, 1947, Dereck was a son of the late Mahadai Pania. He enjoyed riding bikes and bird watching. Dereck was a very outgoing person. He always enjoyed the outside and loved all varieties of birds and his large breed of dogs.

In addition to his wife, Dereck is survived by his sons, Ronald and Raymond Persaud; daughter-in-law, Madelyn Persaud; grandsons, Michael Salcedo, Raymond “Joshua” Persaud, Christopher Persaud, Joseph Persaud, Eliezer Persaud, and Trestan Persaud; great-grandchildren, Michael “Landon” Salcedo, Kenai Persaud, and Amiyah Persaud; brothers, Herallal, Patrick, and Fredrick Persaud; and sisters, Hamo and Sattie Persaud.
