Diane Snavely Care Shepherd of Manheim joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
Born on Aug. 21, 1960, she was the beloved mother of Brandon Care (Natasha) and daughter of the late Elizabeth Hetrick Snavely and Clifford W. Snavely (Kathy).
Diane was also the cherished nana of Dakota, Jordan, and Damien Care, as well as the “mom” of her adored puppies, Tanner and Meadow. The youngest of four siblings, she will also be dearly missed by Brenda (Sam Alejo), Robert (Barb), and William (Sharon), in addition to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her absence will be felt keenly by her fellow staff members, especially her lifelong friend, Deb Muraira. A graduate of Cedar Crest High School, Diane worked for 45 years at Cedar Haven, most recently as a Unit Care Coordinator. Known for her infectious smile, contagious laughter, and huge heart, she was a valued team member at work and well-known by the residents. Fiercely dedicated to her family and friends, Diane livened every room she entered, often entertaining others with a funny story or dancing the night away. In her presence, there was no question that she cared for you.
Saturday, April 20, friends are invited to LCBC, Manheim, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, for a viewing from 9:30-11:30 a.m., followed by a service of worship. A reception, celebrating Diane’s life, will be held after the service at Cornwall United Methodist Church, 50 Freeman Dr., Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to causes dear to Diane’s heart, the American Cancer Society (112 Sipe Ave., Hummelstown, PA 17036), the Lebanon County Humane Society (150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067), or Cedar Haven (590 S. Fifth Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042).
