Dolores Faye Long, 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Long, who passed away in 2009.
Dolores was born in Lebanon on Dec. 30, 1938, to the late William T. and Ethel (Lehman) Ulrich.
She was a 1956 South Lebanon High School graduate. Dolores was a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church and was involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She spent many years working in children’s ministries teaching Good News Clubs and directing children with crafts at day camps. Dolores enjoyed working with crafts and decorating for all the seasons. Dolores retired as a school bus driver. She and her late husband,
Raymond, were very involved with the Mount Gretna Roller Rink.
Surviving are her children, Kathy Collins (James), of Elizabethtown, Kenneth Long (Kendra), of Mount Joy, and Eugene Long (Dorothy), of Shermans Dale; daughter-in-law, Christine Long, of Harrisburg; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and brother, William U. Long, of Newmanstown.
She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Long.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the Lebanon Valley Bible Church, 1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon. Interment will be held privately at Grand View Memorial Park.
