Donald Everett “Don” Barchet, 85, of Annville, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at the Lebanon Valley Home. He was the husband of Judith K. (Fasnacht) Barchet, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Don was born in Elmira, NY, on Oct. 16, 1940, to the late Kenneth A. and Inez M. (Gunderman) Barchet. He was a 1958 SouthSide High School graduate in Elmira, NY. Don was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for the Northern Lebanon schools in the maintenance department. Don was a member of the Christ Church United Church of Christ in Annville. He was also a member of the Jonestown American Legion and the Bellegrove Fire Company. He enjoyed sprint car racing, fishing, and hunting. He was known for his storytelling, joke-telling, and always being able to share a conversation with whoever he met.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his children, Holli Nauman, and husband, Lindsey, of Hamburg, and Kenneth Barchet, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Courtney King and Trey Nauman; great-grandchildren, Jackson King and Jayce King; and siblings, Douglas E. Barchet, of Wellsburg, NY, Joyce Stowe, of Horseheads, NY, and Janice Heiman, of Elmira, NY.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There is a viewing from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
