Donald G. Bashore, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of CarolAnn (Mengel) Bashore. On Nov. 22, they would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Born in Rehrersburg on March 18, 1948, he was the son of the late Rufus Z. and Cathaline (Ratlief) Bashore. He attended Centre Elementary School and graduated from SVHS with the Class of 1966. Following high school, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He worked as a state-licensed machinist at Kutztown Foundry and graduated from Lincoln Tech in Allentown as an electrical engineer at the age of 40. Don was a member of the Little Swatara Church of the Brethren and also served as the treasurer for the Lineback Association for 13 years. He enjoyed watching sports and was a season ticket holder for the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed reading the Lancaster Farming publication, volunteering with FFA, and especially collecting antique cars.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Judy C. Kramer, of Hamburg; and brothers, Steve Bashore, of Shoemakersville, and Robert Bashore, of Shade Gap. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry and Rickie Bashore; and sister, Patricia Ann Boltz.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
