Donald L. Fortna, 88, of Jonestown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at his home.

Born in Jonestown on Aug. 22, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Tillie Wentling Fortna.

Don retired from PA Heavy & Highway Contractor, where he was a carpenter and builder of concrete forms. In his free time, he enjoyed working on his 1932 Plymouth Coupe.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and his late partner’s children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, Alfred, Kenneth, and Edward Fortna; and his longtime partner, Violet P. “Vickie” Kushmanick.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
