Donna J. Zimmerman, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at the Carolyn’s Hospice House, Harrisburg. She was the wife of Harlan H. Zimmerman. On June 2, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Born in Conestoga on June 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Aldus W. and Dorothy I. Connor Micken.

For 20 years, Donna had worked as a caregiver for the United Disability Services. She also was a loving foster mother for over 30 children. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Lebanon. She loved cats and dogs, and for 10 years, she raised Bichon dogs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Todd W. (Lisa) Zimmerman, of New Providence, Jared M. (Jacqui) Zimmerman, of Lancaster, and Roman A. Zimmerman, of Lebanon; brother, Jeffrey W. Micken, of Talmage; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori A., wife of Steve Dice, of Fredericksburg; and her sister, Barbara A. Ditzler.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at the Faith Baptist Church, 220 S. 22nd St., Lebanon. A time of visitation and fellowship with the family will follow the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
